New vehicles bought in Germany

• Copy of the purchase canotract where you are the registered owner
• Zulassungbescheinigung Teil II (the vehicles ownership certificate)

or the

• COC-document (certificate of conformity)

If it is a motorhome we will also need the gas book/ or the DINA-4 document with all the build in gas appliances type numbers listed

Used vehicles bought in Germany

• Copy of the purchase contract where you are the registered owner.
• Zulassungsbescheinigung Teil I (the vehiclesregistration certificate).
• Zulassungsbescheinigung Teil II (the vehicles ownership certificate).

If the vehicle is more than 3 years old:

• Valid MOT documents (HU and AU-Bescheinigung).

NB: MOT has to be renewed the first time after 3 years after that every 2^nd year!

If the vehicle is not deregistered by the previous owner:

• Both license plates
• if it is a motorhome we will also need valid gas test documents

NB: Gas test has ti be done every 2^nd year after purchase!

• if I would lilke to sell my vehicle?
• if I would like to register the vehicle a different place?
• if I would like to take my vehicle to Denmark?

In all 3 cases the vehicle has to be deregistered in Flensburg

For the deregistration we need:

• both license plates
• the vehicles registration certificate (Zulassungsbescheinigung Teil I)

If the vehicle has to be deregistered temporarily

• we also need the last MOT documents

If your vehicle go home with you to Denmark you need to order a sample plate at SKAT after deregistration in Flensburg.
